For F.
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne'er express, yet cannot all conceal.
-- Lord Byron, (George Gordon) Gordon)
For R.
Life is about the choices we make or not make. It's not often when you think "This kind of certainty comes just once but in a life time". You see the whole life in front of you and all you have to do is just take one single decision. The one decision which may change your life forever or just make those 3 or 4 days the best days in your life. The four days that will keep you reminding of what your life could have been.
The trip from Bangalore to Kochi via Mangalore was the longest one in my life. Each moment I saw myself being left behind further and further. I was trying to bury "the myself" which I had discovered when I was with you. I could feel it every moment that my life is slipping away from my hands. My life was getting completely out of my control.
What would have happened if I had just walked away... How would our life have been If I had just let the circumstances to dictate terms with me.
Each day after I took that decision to walk out is a gift, a gift you gave to me, for I had already died on that sunny Friday afternoon.
