The Bridges of Madison County (1995)

For F.

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,

There is a rapture on the lonely shore,

There is society, where none intrudes,

By the deep sea, and music in its roar:

I love not man the less, but Nature more,

From these our interviews, in which I steal

From all I may be, or have been before,

To mingle with the Universe, and feel

What I can ne'er express, yet cannot all conceal.

-- Lord Byron, (George Gordon) Gordon)

For R.

Life is about the choices we make or not make. It's not often when you think "This kind of certainty comes just once but in a life time". You see the whole life in front of you and all you have to do is just take one single decision. The one decision which may change your life forever or just make those 3 or 4 days the best days in your life. The four days that will keep you reminding of what your life could have been.

The trip from Bangalore to Kochi via Mangalore was the longest one in my life. Each moment I saw myself being left behind further and further. I was trying to bury "the myself" which I had discovered when I was with you. I could feel it every moment that my life is slipping away from my hands. My life was getting completely out of my control.

What would have happened if I had just walked away... How would our life have been If I had just let the circumstances to dictate terms with me.

Each day after I took that decision to walk out is a gift, a gift you gave to me, for I had already died on that sunny Friday afternoon.

Living on the Edge

The recent terror attack on the financial capital of India is throwing light to many fears which are buried beneath the darkest portions of our hearts. Questions are being raised on safety, well being, Identity even the very existence of oneself. Our Future as a nation, as a family or as an individual hangs in uncertainty when the terror agents performs their acts. A moment you think everything is fine next moment something horrific happens.

With the News channels and Internet doing their jobs to perfection, common man is bombarded with the latest updates and news. He is no longer happy. He sees himself in the shoes of the people who have lost their most near and dear ones for the faults they did not commit.

He starts searching for reasons. He crosses everybody to find Answers.

One after the other the world is putting him under constant pressure. Whether it may be terror attacks or the global economic crisis or the petrodollar conflict, He finds himself at the receiving end every single time. With nowhere to run or hide the common is made to face the harsh realities.

He prays for a peaceful world, a peaceful country a peaceful family. But his prayers are hitting 'blind' ears. There is nobody to help him out. The people he looks for help are in greater need of help.

He is not a Warrior, he doesn't want a Revolution. All he wants is to 'LIVE'.

Talking

I have hitherto had no desire to blog. I know that such an admission instantly puts me as a misfit in the blog /blogger/blogging world. But being the part owner of a blog ( gleefully bestowed on by Fonceur) here I am a blogger. To be truthful it is not just the part ownership to a blog that is driving me on incessant persuasion from the co- owner and sarcastic tendencies that need vent have a major part to play.
Now that I have committed myself to blog let me wonder why people do have an urge to blog.It can be that a blog lends itself to the function that a private diary has but then again think of the lengths to which a diary owner goes to keep the diary private so although a blog might answer a similar purpose a blog isn't just the same . A blog or most blogs are meant to be read and commented by friends , or by strangers. So I think a sense of showmanship is an essential component an extrovert gets to proclaim herself and an introvert gets to blog in relative anonymity. So most bloggers are out here to get a word in the babel and so heres one more blogger
let me add my word too

and yes this going to be an erratic blogger who has no intention to post dutifully everyday. But since this blog has so a far allowed comments , comment spats and more I too will follow the tradition.

Love, Marriage, Relationship, Family, Values and INDIA

India is a country of Monkey eating Wild Men. They eat Soups made out of Animal's Eye Balls. They eat brains of live animals and 70% of them live in the wilds.

Thanks to Indiana Jones Patrik has a good hands on Knowledge about India and its culture.

60 years of independence, Freedom, equality, fraternity, Secularism and what not.

Nuclear technology, Nano Technology, Information Technology, Space Technology. The Fastest Growing Economy in the world. Investors Paradise.

At the verge of the 21st century we are still in the dark ages though we are wearing cotton clothes our brains are still living in the wilds along the monkeys. I mean on banyan trees. Age Old Banyan Trees. Like 5000 Years old trees.

You Know Wild Jungles. The ones which are so wild even wild animals fear living in. Our Heads are still there.

Question: Is it allowed for a girl to talk to a guy in India.

Answer: Hell No. You have get prior Permission from her parents. and you have to fix the marriage with her and you have to do all that social bullshit then you can talk to her.

Question: What is marriage in India?
Answer: Parents finding a Person for their Children to sleep with, Because they cant sleep with them no more.

Religion, Cast, Creed Nothing is a bar here. Everybody thinks alike. You go see the world. You live there. You are world citizen and you come back you are the same old monkey again.

For May "Lyf iS aLl aBt sUfFerInZ". They jump from one sUfFerIn to the next. There is no time where they have peace. Still they are the Proud Indian Monkey and proud to be one too...

In the land where DDLJ runs for 10 Years with out a break and still running, People keep their mouth Open when somebodies daughter/son wants to get married to someone he/she likes. Their Bloody head goes down when his or her brother/sister marries his/her love. They cant face the society. They cant go out in public. They are ashamed of themselves and their sibling.

SUCH a SHAME.
SUCH a SHAME.
SUCH a SHAME.

The truth is we have no rights to talk about the developing India. The fast Improving The fast Growing, The Greatest.

What 'I' as an Indian Need to do is think what am 'I'. I have to Show light to the Darkest Corners of my Mind to see whether there is any dark corners where i need to keep the lantern of free thinking.

We have to free our minds from the clutches of Monkey Business and then we can start boasting about the Great INDIA.

Till that Mouh Band Rakne Ka/Vaaye Moodu. .. . (Keep the Mouth Shut)
